Can you use flute sheet music for a soprano recorder?
I’m having trouble finding more advanced music to play on my recorder, can I use the sheet music for another instruments. (I am guessing the answer is no, I just don’t understand why.)
Thank you in advance for reading my question. I would be too embarassed to ask it in a music store. I really appreciate any information you are willing to share.

You can use any sheet music for any instrument. It is common for other insturments to double up or even supplement on another instruments music. I am a drummer and quite often will use the second trumpets sheet music for crechendos, highs, lows, and accents.

Yes. You can’t swap charts with all instruments because some instruments are transposing, but the flute and the recorder are both non-transposing and their ranges are similar (although I imagine the flute has a larger ranger than the recorder).
